Went with Kana to Kaimuki to buy comics. Spent over a $100 bucks there. Merry Christmas Kana! Kana also cancelled allot of titles off his 'to hold' list. The owner looked kind of miffed when he told him. Well times is tuff dude. We then took the scenic route home since it was such a gorgeous day out.

Got home and went with the lady and grandpa to Waipahu. We ate at Thelma's. I devoured the food since it's been so long since I ate there. So ono.

If cryogenics became a real, affordable option (i.e., if you could freeze your body until aging and illnesses were better understood), would you consider it? If so, do you fear you'd miss out on the wisdom that comes with growing old and dying?

I would consider it, but I fear the future would be bleak. Imagine the future with no death and disease, but all you have to eat are GMO's, your on some drug to keep you immortal and you have to work forever to be able to buy that drug.

Ok, I guess some people like this look of stacked rocks, BUT there's no mystery behind it, a modern human stacked it like that. I've lived here all my life and it's only in the last five years or so, have these mysterious rock towers appeared on the landscape. ALL OVER THE PLACE. Believe me, no ancient hawaiians made them.

Shrouded in mystery? give me a break.
I knock them down every chance I get.

I don't really have a top 10. I like variety and put my itunes on shuffle most of the time. It's nice to hear a song you haven't heard in awhile suddenly play.

I saw this article saying ALL men watch porn, which reminded me of this calendar I saw at Borders, called Porn for Women, that has men doing things like cooking, cleaning and giving the women in their life money to go buy what makes them happy.
Hmmm, so that's what turns women on huh? lol.

I mean really, do you find this a turn on?

oh boy, my neck is killing me. It's an old injury I got when I was stationed at the downtown office, while our office was being renovated. I should say it's a repetitive strain injury. Their counters were just under an inch lower then ours and the window I was working at, I had to keep looking towards my right to call the next person in line and their lines were LONG!! Anyway, it started getting sore over there, till it went stiff, then I went to therapy it got better and now it just seems to come and go. These past two weeks, it's been more frequent, I don't know why. Can't think of anything I'm doing differently. *shrugs*

I left the window open by my bed, which when it rains does not normally come into the window, but I guess the winds were blowing differently today, we call them Kona winds and it blew right in and wet my bed. I also had bills, envelopes and stamps on my bed, so now those are all soggy. What's worse is that I was right here on the computer when it happened. MY back is to the bed and since it normally doesn't come in, I didn't think of looking behind me. *shrugs*

Accuweather says it's 73 degrees out, but with the wind being as strong as it is and us being near the ocean, it feels colder. I'm actually wearing my hoody sweater since I shaved my head and the wind whipping it is not so good. I could close the windows, but then it gets so stuffy in here. I like the fresh air anyway.

I really want to mow the lawn, but it's been raining off and on, but oh how I want to do that! The yard looks like crap! I do see blue skies over the ocean, so there may be hope yet. In the meantime, I'll do laundry.

I could totally eat this whole box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts. I need to offer some to Sam so I don't end up doing that. :)

Heading out to my mom's house for thanksgiving. Just me and her again. I'll probably come home before dark cause my lights on my car don't work, and maybe have dinner here. haha. double thankgivings. my mom is just ordering one of those meal thingys from safeway.

I just never knew how good health care is here, compared to the rest of the country. We have employer provided healthcare for employees working over 20 hours a week and we've had it since 1974. So I've had it my whole life. It was only when I started working for the county of Honolulu that I had to pay premiums and it really hasn't gone up that much in 15yrs. I've heard other states had it and dropped it cause employers were thereting to leave the state if they passed it?

Just watching all the debate has opened my eyes to how crappy the health insurance industry is run.

Well, Hawaii was #1 in 2007 according to this article, but like it said, every state has room for improvement.

"...if all states equaled the top-rated states, there would be 90,000 fewer premature deaths before age 75 from conditions such as diabetes, infection, respiratory disease, and treatable cancers. In addition, 22 million more adults and children would be insured, cutting U.S. uninsured rates in half."

Megan Fox was voted best sci-fi actress for her role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, prompting website Contactmusic.com to crown her “Queen of the Geeks“.

So Seattle-Geekly.com made their own list of Queen of the Geeks, and on theirs is one of my favorite authors, James Tiptree Jr. AKA Alice Bradley Sheldon. Hmm, don't know if she should hold the title of Queen of the Geeks, but she definitely belongs among geek royalty. :)
